About the Artist

Jane Jackson is a self-taught artist based in the Chicago area. She has always had a passion for art and a love of the outdoors. Painting brings them together.

Inspired by the raw and powerful textures and saturated colors found in nature, Jane evokes the contrast of scenic land and sea scapes, and navigates the earth’s natural balance between light and dark that is reflected in our perceptions of the world.

If she’s not hiding in her little basement studio and painting, you will most likely find her drinking a lot of coffee while reading, out exploring nature, or checking out one of the many amazing breweries that Chicagoland has to offer.
